DMRC, on 22 February 2010, unveiled a standard gauge train depot that boasts
of various facilities like state-of-the-art automatic train washing plant in
Delhi.
The Rs 150-crore depot has been spread over 10.83 ha. The depot with a
capacity to stable 90 coaches also has a parking space for 1,000 cars. It is
expected to cater to inspection, maintenance, washing and administrative
functioning of the Inderlok-Mundka line, which is to be inaugurated in March
2010.
It has various facilities like workshop, inspection shed, stabling sheds and
automatic train washing plant. The automatic train washing plant, set up at an
estimated cost of Rs 4 crore, is designed to carry out washing of the external
body of DMRC trains.
