Kobelco, the Japan based
construction equipment company, is likely to pump in around Rs 100 crore in
phase two on its Sri City project near Chennai.
Kobelco has begun work on
its Rs 50-crore manufacturing unit in the Sri City industrial estate in the
phase one. The facility will manufacture excavator machines by January 2011.
In Phase II, the company
is planning to invest another Rs 100 crore to expand the facility, which is
likely to be complete by 2012.
