Nestle India is likely to set up a new plant in Himachal Pradesh.
Currently, the company is holding discussions with the state government for
the proposed plant. However, details on the location and the investment for the
plant have not been disclosed.
According to sources, the new facility to be set up by Nestle is likely to
enhance the production capabilities of the company by 20-30 per cent.
In 2009, the company had indicated an investment of investment of Rs 250
crore for opening a food processing plant in Tahliwala in Una district of
Himachal Pradesh. It had asked for 43 acre from the Himachal Pradesh Housing &
Urban Development Authority.
