Taj Hotels Resorts and Palaces on 20 March 2010 opened doors to the Taj Cape
Town in South Africa.
The hotel has been set up as a JV between Indian Hotels Company and Eurocape
at a cost of around Rs 300 crore.
The hotel has an inventory of 177 rooms with an addition of 17 new stories
with walk out balconies and panoramic views over the city. Some of the amenities
offered include conference, meeting and banqueting facilities, Jiva Spa, The
Mint- offering various cuisines and The Twankey Bar- champagne and seafood bar.
