Five companies namely Nagarjuna Constructions, Ahluwalia Constructions, L&T,
Shapoorji Pallonji and IVRCL Infrastructure, are vying to clinch the Rs 9,000
crore contract to set up the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS)
hospital at Raipur in Chhattisgarh.
The file of the short-listed companies has been sent to the Union Ministry of
Health for its approval, and the contract is likely to be awarded in early April
2010.
The project is to sprawl over 200 acre land in Tatibandh area. Of the total,
the hospital will be set up in 40 acre. The state government provided the land
for the project. The 960-bed hospital will provide healthcare facilities in 39
speciality or super-speciality disciplines.
