Noida based Dharampal Satyapal Group’s (DS Group) hospitality arm, DS Hotels & Resorts (India), plans to open five properties by fourth quarter of financial year 2011-2012.

In Kolkata, the company is to set up two hotels and a convention centre; a resort in Jim Corbett, Uttaranchal; and a hotel each in Guwahati (Assam) and Jaipur (Rajasthan). The company is expected to infuse around Rs 500 crore in the projects.

The hotel at Jim Corbett is currently under construction and will have 60 rooms (including villas and cottages), with completion slated for January 2011.

For the Guwahati property, the company has signed a MoU with Guwahati Metropolitan Development Authority to set up 250-room five-star hotel. The hotel in Jaipur is to have 250 rooms.

DS Hotels is coming up with a convention centre, a five-star and four-star hotel near the airport to be spread across nine acre in Kolkata. These hotels will have a total inventory of 400 keys.
