Okaya Power has invested in Rs 137 crore to set up a manufacturing plant for
batteries in Baddi in Himachal Pradesh. The investment has come through a mix of
internal resources and debt.
The plant with a capacity to manufacture 12 lakh batteries per annum is
likely to manufacture batteries for inverters having capacity of 80-180 AH.
The company manufactures batteries using Japanese technology for inverters as
well as UPS.
