Hyatt Hotels plans to set up more than 120 properties in India by 2020.
The company is likely to expand into 15 markets including Bangalore, Chennai,
Hyderabad and Pune (Maharashtra) by 2015. In addition, three more hotels are
likely to come up in Hyatt Regency Pune, Hyatt Regency Chennai and Grand Hyatt
Goa in 2010, while the company has also outlined growth plans in cities like
Delhi, Goa, Kolkata and Mumbai.
The company intends to open Hyatt Regency hotels in Ahmedabad; Bangalore (Koramangala
and Jakkur); Chennai, OMR; Hyderabad; Navi Mumbai and Visakhapatnam (Andhra
Pradesh).
Additionally, full service hotels under the Park Hyatt brand are currently
under development in Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Mumbai.
Hyatt is also likely to set up its service brand 'Hyatt Palace' in cities
such as Gurgaon (Haryana), Hyderabad, Indore (Madhya Pradesh), Lucknow (Uttar
Pradesh), Mangalore and Mysore (Karnataka), Mundra (Gujarat).
Meanwhile, Grand Hyatt hotels are expected to come up in Pune and selected
other cities, while Park Hyatt hotels are on the anvil in Chennai, Hyderabad,
Kolkata and Mumbai.
