The Haryana Government has charted out a Rs 1,500 crore investment plan to
add new health infrastructure in the state.
Under the plan, nine hospitals are being upgraded to Indian Public Health
Standard. The hospitals are at Bhiwani, Rohtak, Faridabad, Gurgaon, Sonepat,
Panipat, Karnal, Panchkula and Hisar. The buildings of these hospitals are being
renovated and these hospitals will be equipped with latest medical instruments.
While new hospital buildings at Kaithal, Jhajjar, Palwal and Bahdurgarh are
already functional, new medical colleges are being set up at Mewat, Sonepat and
Karnal.
