Rewa Ultra Mega Solar (RUMSL) has awarded letters of award (LoA) to Ceigall India and ACME Solar, each tasked with developing 220 MW of solar-plus-storage capacity in Morena, Madhya Pradesh.
The project is designed to deliver up to four hours of peak power daily, with a 35 percent capacity utilisation factor, and is scheduled to start construction in 2026, with commercial operations expected between 2027 and 2028. Ceigall India won its project through a tariff-based competitive bidding process, with a tariff of Rs 2.70 per kWh, bringing the total project value to Rs 1,700 crore. The contracts will have a 24-month construction period and a 25-year operational lifespan.
RUMSL will provide necessary land and evacuation infrastructure, with projects benefiting from reduced GST rates and ALMM compliance.
