ACME Solar Holdings has been awarded a 450 MW–1800 MWh assured peak power project under the SJVN FDRE-IV scheme, following an e-reverse auction held in October, 2025.
The contract, priced at Rs 6.75 per unit for 25 years, focuses on meeting peak power demand through a combination of 300 MW of solar power and a 1,800 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS). The project is unique in its emphasis on peak power supply, aimed at ensuring grid stability and managing critical peak demand, particularly utilising night-time connectivity in Rajasthan’s high-irradiation zones.
This will be ACME Solar’s first project using Indian-made solar cells from the ALMM List-II. ACME Solar’s Chief Commercial Officer, Rahula Kashyapa, highlighted the significance of the contract, calling it a “win-win” for both the customer and the company due to its cost-effectiveness.
