ACME Solar Holdings, through its subsidiary ACMEUrja One, has signed a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with NHPC for its 250 MW firm and dispatchable renewable energy (FDRE) Tranche VI Project.
The project, which will be connected to ISTS substations, comes with a minimum annual capacity utilisation factor (CUF) of 40 percent and an obligation to meet 90 percent of peak power demand for four hours daily. The total investment for this project is approx. Rs 3,700 crore, with nearly 40 percent of the land already acquired. ACME Solar expects the project to achieve a CUF of over 60 percent. With this new PPA, ACME Solar’s total signed portfolio now reaches 5,630 MW, complemented by a 2,140 MW pipeline of projects either awarded or under consideration.
