ADM Solar Power Infrastructure, a prominent solar module manufacturer, has entered into a long-term power purchase agreement (PPA) with Avener Green to procure 10 MW of solar power in a captive mode.
This power will be used to meet the energy needs of ADM's module manufacturing facilities in Uttar Pradesh. ADM currently operates an 850 MW solar module manufacturing unit in Faridabad and plans to expand with a 1,200 MW integrated solar module and cell manufacturing facility in Aligarh, with potential for further expansion. The 10 MW solar project, expected to be commissioned by April 2026, is anticipated to generate 22.42 million units of power in its first year, with a payback period between six and seven years.
The project is part of the broader trend of increasing solar open access demand, particularly in Uttar Pradesh, driven by rapid industrial growth, including the expansion of data centers in the state. ADM Solar Power signs PPA to procure 10 MW solar power for Uttar Pradesh facilities.
