AMPIN Energy Transition has announced a partnership with Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP), committing a joint equity investment of USD 300 million to develop renewable energy projects across India.
This partnership aims to create a renewable energy asset base worth between USD 2.7 billion and USD three billion in India. The collaboration emphasises their ability to accelerate India’s green transformation, as well as a shared commitment to driving innovation and creating sustainable value within the energy sector. This new investment builds on their previous collaboration from 2021, which involved an initial USD 200 million joint equity commitment for similar projects.
AMPIN Energy Transition has a current portfolio of four GW of projects spread across 21 states in the country. CIP is recognised as the world’s largest dedicated fund manager in the greenfield RE sector and holds a leadership position in offshore wind investment globally.
