K2 Ethanol has awarded ANDRITZ a contract to build India’s first agro-residue-powered ethanol plant, a significant step towards the country's renewable energy goals.
This greenfield project includes a 1,50,000-liter-per-day ethanol distillery and a 400-tonne per-day animal-feed pellet plant. The multi-grain processing facility aims to meet the growing local demand for ethanol and animal nutrition while supporting government initiatives to blend ethanol with petrol and promote sustainable feed solutions.
Rajpal Yadav, Director of K2 Group, highlighted the importance of the project for both the local economy and global sustainability targets. ANDRITZ, with its extensive experience in largescale projects in the Asia-Pacific region, will handle the complete engineering, procurement, installation, and commissioning (EPC) of the facility, ensuring the successful delivery of the innovative and environmentally-conscious plant.
