Consulting firm ANSR plans to set up about 25 large-scale global capability centres (GCCs) in the country next year. The GCCs would be primarily from non-tech sectors like financial services and insurance (BFSI), airlines, retail, banking, consumer packaged goods, and media.
Currently, the firm engaged in setting up GCCs is looking to set up one every two weeks next year. The large-scale GCCs are of companies with revenues of over USD 10 billion.
Multiple factors including cost, talent, and value creation are seen to drive multinationals to set up more GCCs in India, and the segment is set to gain further momentum with innovative products and technology solutions.
ANSR handles over 110 centres and 1,20,000 GCC workforce. Further, the number of GCCs is poised to grow to 1,900 employing over two million people by 2025, according to the latest Nasscom-Zinnov report.
