Engineering Projects (India) (EPI), has emerged as the lowest bidder (L1) for the for the establishment of the Thermal Hydraulics Test Facility (TRENDS) at Visakhapatnam.
Valued at Rs 138.99 crore, the contract will be executed through the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) mode. The initiative by Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) is crucial for enhancing research and development in nuclear technology. Tthe facility will support BARC’s efforts in simulating various conditions of thermal hydraulics for advanced nuclear reactors, thereby contributing to the nation’s nuclear safety and energy sustainability goals.
EPI, with its expertise in engineering and construction, will undertake the design, procurement, and construction activities to establish the facility, ensuring timely completion and quality standards.
