Adani Green Energy's (AGEL) subsidiary, Adani Renewable Energy Fifty Six, has operationalised a new 50 MW solar power project at Khavda in Gujarat.
Based on the necessary clearances, a decision was made on May 14, 2025, to commence operations at the plant starting May 15, 2025. The solar project is expected to support regional energy demands while promoting sustainable practices in line with India's renewable energy targets. AGEL’s latest addition is part of its strategic plan to scale up renewable infrastructure across the country.
The Khavda site is emerging as a significant renewable energy hub, and the newly added capacity contributes to the company's broader commitment toward clean energy development and decarbonisation goals. With this commissioning, AGEL’s total operational renewable energy generation capacity has now reached 14,340.9 MW, further strengthening its position as a leading player in India's green energy sector.
