Adani Renewable Energy Forty Eight, a subsidiary of Adani Green Energy (AGEL), has successfully commissioned a 57.2 MW wind power unit as part of its wind-solar hybrid project in Khavda, Gujarat. This development elevates AGEL's total operational renewable energy capacity to 11,666.1 MW.

For the nine months ending 31 December, 2024 (nine months of FY25, AGEL reported a 37 percent year-on-year growth in operational capacity, reaching 11,609 MW, with the addition of 2,693 MW of solar and 438 MW of wind power. Energy sales rose 23 percent year-on-year to 20,108 million units, driven by robust capacity additions.

Over the past four years, AGEL achieved a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 49 percent in electricity generation, with an increasing share from merchant power. AGEL's renewable portfolio maintains high operational efficiency, with plant availabilities of 99.4 percent for solar, 95.0  percent for wind, and 99.7 percent for hybrid setups.

Corresponding capacity utilization factors (CUFs) stand at 23.5 percent for solar, 29.2 percent for wind, and 39.8 percent for hybrid plants, underscoring strong performance metrics.

In a significant move, AGEL also signed a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Compan (MSEDCL) to supply five GW of solar power, reinforcing its long-term growth trajectory in renewable energy markets.
