KPI Green Energy, the renewable energy arm of the KP Group, has secured a letter of intent (LoI) from Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam (GUVNL) for the development of 150 MW of wind power projects in Gujarat.
The LoI was awarded after KPI Green Energy's successful participation in a competitive bidding process initiated under GUVNL's ‘Wind Phase IX’ tender. The reverse e-auction, held on 22 April, 2025, saw KPI Green Energy emerge as the successful bidder. The project forms part of Gujarat’s ongoing efforts to expand its renewable energy capacity and reduce carbon emissions.
While receiving the LoI marks a significant milestone, the formal power purchase agreement (PPA) will be executed only after obtaining clearances from the Gujarat Electricity Regulatory Commission (GERC). KPI Green Energy, known for its solar and hybrid projects, continues to strengthen its renewable energy portfolio with this new wind power venture in Gujarat.
