The Adani Group is developing an integrated township in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
The integrated township - Shantigram - is coming up on 600 acre in phased
manner, at a cost of Rs 5,000 crore. The township will include residential,
commercial, hospitality, healthcare, and entertainment facilities. It comprises
nine-hole golf course, club, athlete arena, cricket stadium, lake view
apartments, golf facing villas, stadium facing apartment etc. Work on Phase I of
the project which has already started, will be completed by August 2014. This
includes two housing units, of which one will be in the middle segment and the
other in the luxury space.
Shantigram is being developed by Adani Township & Real Estate Company in
association with Saumya Construction. The land, valued at Rs 3,000 crore and
owned by the Group, has been transferred to a SPV formed for developing the
township. About Rs 700 crore had been spent so far for developing the
infrastructure.
