Adani Group is set to invest Rs 6,000 crore in partnership with Mayo Clinic to establish two 1,000-bed multi-specialty hospitals and medical colleges in Mumbai and Ahmedabad.
The integrated health campuses aim to provide affordable, world-class healthcare and education to all socio-economic groups. Gautam Adani revealed that this initiative is part of his family’s larger Rs 60,000 crore commitment to healthcare, education, and skill development. Adani Health City will be the first project under this initiative, focusing on affordable care, advanced medical innovation, and specialised treatment for complex diseases.
Mayo Clinic will offer technical expertise in setting up and running these institutions. Each campus will feature 1,000-bed multi-super-specialty hospitals, medical colleges with a capacity for 150 undergraduate students, over 80 residents, 40 fellows, transitional care units, and research centres.
The Adani Group plans to expand by building similar integrated health cities in other cities and towns nationwide, although specific details have yet to be disclosed.
