Adani Power has reportedly decided to expand capacity at the
under-construction 1,980 MW thermal power project in Tiroda, Maharashtra, to
3,300 MW.
The change in scope of capacity envisages a total investment of nearly Rs
14,000 crore.
The project is being implemented by Adani Power Maharashtra, a subsidiary of
the company. The power plant is expected to use coal from captive mines at
Lohara (West) and Lohara extension coalfields. The company expects to generate
power from Tiroda by end-2010.
