Haryana Power Minister Anil Vij has announced the installation of a new power unit at the Rajiv Gandhi Thermal Power Plant in Khedar village, Hisar district.
The project has received the necessary coal allocation, a critical step in the establishment of thermal power units. During his visit to Hisar, Minister Anil Vij explained that coal clearance is a mandatory requirement, and with this approval, the project will proceed as planned. The Minister also highlighted the need for raising substations that get submerged during the monsoon season, as several areas were left without power due to flooding. He emphasised that measures are being implemented to prevent future waterlogging issues.
Additionally, Minister Vij reassured residents that there are no plans to increase electricity tariffs in the state at this time. Local BJP leaders, including Dr. Asha Khedar, were also present during the visit.
