Adani Power plans to ignite the boiler of a 330 MW unit at its proposed 4,620
MW thermal power plant at Mundra on 25 March. The power generation is expected
to commence from April 2009.
The Rs.19,106 crore project which is expected to be fully commissioned in
2011 is being set up in four phases. In Phase I and Phase II, the company will
commission two units of 330 MW each. Mundra III (2X660 MW) and Mundra IV (3X660
MW) are of super critical category and will be completed by 2011.
