Aequs has partnered with Brazilian homeware giant, Tramontina to manufacture cookware and other consumer products for Indian and global markets.
The joint venture (JV) entails an investment of up to Rs 80 crore. Production will take place at Aequs’ Hubballi durable goods cluster (HDC) facility, making it Tramontina’s first manufacturing unit outside America, as a major step for the Brazil-based company.
Chairman and CEO of Aequs, Aravind Melligeri highlighted the strategic significance of the venture, stating, “The growing global demand for premium cookware presents a tremendous opportunity, and this partnership positions us to serve both domestic and international markets.”
Tramontina, which entered the Indian market last year, has utilised general commerce, modern retail, and e-commerce platforms to expand its distribution network across the country.
