Afcons Infrastructure, a Shapoorji Pallonji Group company, is planning to set up a fabrication yard at Mahuva in Bhavnagar district of Gujarat, for oil and gas platforms.
For the purpose, the company has already signed an MoU with the state government. The project, estimated to cost Rs 250 crore, will come up over 120 ha. Afcons Infrastructure will build offshore jackets and the top side for well and process platforms at the site. The Gujarat government has the approved detailed project report of the plant.
Currently, the company is executing a Rs 1,800 crore order for the Heera field, off Mumbai. The order, awarded by ONGC, is being implemented in partnership with Technip of France and a Malaysian company.
