Allied Blenders & Distilleries (ABD)
is investing Rs.400 crore on expansion, which will include acquiring bottling
units or setting up of greenfield facility.
The company is looking at acquiring
two to three bottling plants and if the acquisition plan does not materialise,
then the company may opt for setting up a greenfield manufacturing facility
either in Andhra Pradesh, Punjab or West Bengal.
Currently, ABD has three bottling
plants in the country and has an arrangement with other 27 bottlers for
undertaking contract manufacturing.
