Alstom T & D India has secured a contract from PGCIL.
The company has bagged the contract worth Rs 150 crore for the supply, erection and commissioning of a 765kV extra high voltage or EHV substation at Aurangabad in Maharashtra state of western India. The substation will facilitate the safe and efficient transmission of electricity and will boost power transmission capacity to power deficit areas of the state. The equipment for the substation will be delivered from Alstom's manufacturing facilities located at Padappai and Pallavaram in Chennai and Hosur in Tamil Nadu and Noida.
