The Amritsar Improvement Trust (AIT) has announced a landmark residential project in Bhai Gurdas Ji Nagar, part of the 340-acre New Amritsar township.

For the first time, AIT will construct 12 to 14-storey luxury high-rise flats, modernising the city's housing landscape. A demand survey launched on 13 May will run until June 10, and has already seen 650 applications, indicating strong interest.

The project includes HIG Super Flats (1,610 sq. ft.), priced at Rs 58.20 lakh (furnished) and Rs 45.80 lakh (unfurnished); HIG Flats (1,510 sq. ft.), at Rs 54.90 lakh and Rs 43.30 lakh respectively; and MIG Flats (1,310 sq. ft.), at Rs 49.50 lakh (furnished) and Rs 39.50 lakh (unfurnished). Survey fees are Rs 15,000 for HIG and Rs 10,000 for MIG.

Spread over 8.14 acres, the project will feature earthquake-resistant construction, power backup, high-speed elevators, broadband, CCTV, and modern amenities like a clubhouse, gym, EV charging, shopping centre, and landscaped open spaces. Only 30 percent of the land will be used for construction, preserving 70 percent as green area. AIT Chairman Karamjit Singh Rintu called the project a first in offering affordable luxury housing in Amritsar.
