The Government of Andhra Pradesh has established a Data Centre Advisory Council to help the state become India's digital infrastructure hub.
As per the recently issued G.O. 46, the Council will guide the state's roadmap to reach 6,000 MW data centre capacity by 2030. The Council will include key stakeholders like Microsoft Azure, Google, Schneider Electric, and Jio Platforms, among others. It will focus on areas like renewable energy integration, fibre connectivity, talent development, cybersecurity, and attracting global investors.
The initiative is expected to create employment, bolster investment, and position Visakhapatnam as a flagship destination for AI-driven data infrastructure. The Council will operate through specialised sub-committees and task forces for efficient project execution.
