In a significant step towards enhancing its digital infrastructure, the Andhra Pradesh government has approved a Rs 22,002-crore incentive package for Raiden Infotech India to develop AI-powered data centres worth Rs 87,520 crore.
The project will span 480 acres across Visakhapatnam and Anakapalli districts, focusing on creating over 1,000 MW of advanced data centre capacity. The package includes a 25 percent land cost discount, a 10 percent capital subsidy for machinery, and various tax exemptions. This project is expected to generate substantial employment and bolster the state's position as a hub for AI and digital technology.
The Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation has earmarked land in multiple locations, and the state's Data Centre Policy aims to attract major global investments in AI-ready digital infrastructure. The initiative marks one of the largest private investments in the state's tech sector.
