Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has unveiled an infrastructure plan aimed at transforming the state into India’s premier logistics hub.
Announced on September 26, the blueprint focuses on reducing logistics costs by enhancing ports, airports, roads, and railways, with a goal to create employment opportunities for 20 lakh people. The state will also establish dedicated universities for logistics and civil aviation, emphasising skill development.
This vision aligns with South Central Railway’s major freight projects, including the Muddanuru–Pulivendula–Mudiguba line (Rs 2,505.89 cr), and four-laning key routes such as Obulavaripalli–Renigunta (Rs 1,352.69 cr) and Guntakal–Obulavaripalli (Rs 5,207.98 cr). Additional projects like the Nidadavolu–Duvvada corridor (Rs 8,812.67 cr) and Vijayawada bypass (Rs 1,895.03 cr) aim to enhance connectivity and decongest traffic near key ports.
