Apollo Hospitals has shelves its plan to set up a 240-beds hospital at Patna, Bihar at an investment of Rs 200 crore.
Apollo could not manage to outbid other contenders for the 10 acre plot for setting up the proposed super specialty hospital. Without procuring land at reasonable price, the hospital project becomes non-viable. Hence, the company decided to shelve the project for the time being.
Medanta Medicity, another contender, had offered a higher amount as lease for a period of 30 years to the state government and won the bid.
