Apple Computer Inc, the US multinational, would set up a large technology development centre in Hyderabad by July 2016. This would be the iPhone maker's first innovation and technology development facility outside its headquarters in Cupertino, California.
Apple is expected to take up 2,50,000 square feet office space in the Waverock IT towers, owned by US real estate development and consultancy firm Tishman Speyer, in Gachibowli. Waverock, a notified IT special economic zone, is spread over 1.5 million square feet and was developed in two phases, in 2010 and 2014.
