The power ministry has approved
the setting up a 2,000 MW nuclear plant in Bihar and is in the
process of identifying land for the project.
The state plans to allot a site at
Rajauli in Nawada district but will also offer alternative sites in Gaya and
Aurangabad districts for which a team of Nuclear Power Corporation of India is expected to visit the state
soon.
After selection of sites, the group of
experts will prepare a feasibility report which then will be presented to the
Union Cabinet for approval.
