The Ashok Minda Group, auto component maker, has chalked out an investment
plan to augment capacity.
The Group is planning to invest Rs 1,000 crore to ramp up its existing
capacities by March 2011.
Presently, the Group owns and operates 25 plants in India and overseas
including Germany, Poland, Czech Republic, Indonesia, Vietnam and Uzbekistan to
manufacture safety systems, driver information systems and telematics for two
and four wheelers.
Meanwhile, the Group has completed acquisition of Germany based auto
component maker Aksys Koengen. However, transaction details of the deal have not
been disclosed. The company has been renamed as Minda Schenk Plastic Solution
GmbH Plant Koengen.
