Safran Aircraft Engines, the French aerospace giant, has signed a five-year memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Maini Precision Products (MPPL), a unit of Raymond, to manufacture machined assemblies for the CFM LEAP engine combustors. These engines power single-aisle mainline commercial aircraft like the Airbus A320neo and Boeing 737 MAX.
The agreement was signed at the Paris Air Show 2025 by Dominique Dupuy, VP of Purchasing at Safran Aircraft Engines, and Gautam Maini, Managing Director of MPPL, in the presence of Raymond Group Chairman and MD, Gautam Singhania. The collaboration signifies deepening trust and continued expansion of Safran’s manufacturing footprint in India, further integrating Indian suppliers into the global aerospace supply chain.
According to Safran, the deal aims to support the increasing global demand for LEAP engines, known for their fuel efficiency and lower emissions. The partnership reinforces India's rising role in high-precision aerospace manufacturing and strengthens Safran's long-term supply capabilities.
