Avaada Group has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Gujarat government to invest Rs 36,000 crore in large-scale renewable energy projects across the state.
The initiative includes the development of five GW solar power capacity, one GW of wind energy, and five GWh battery energy storage systems (BESS) in Kutch, Banaskantha, and Surendranagar districts. These projects are expected to be commissioned between 2027 and 2030, reinforcing Gujarat’s commitment to sustainable growth and energy security.
Avaada’s ongoing work in the state includes a 280 MW solar power project in Surendranagar, and a 100 MW solar plant in Vadodara. The renewable energy expansion is projected to create over 1,000 direct and 2,000 indirect employment, with an additional 5,000 work opportunities during construction.
