Avaada Group has announced a major investment of Rs 9,200 crore in renewable energy projects in Rajasthan, reinforcing the state’s role as a solar energy hub.
The investment includes large-scale solar power and battery energy storage projects, such as the 1,560 MW peak solar plant and a 2,500 MWh Battery Energy Storage System at Pugal in Bikaner, alongside a 200 MW solar project at Sri Dungargarh. Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently laid the foundation stone for these initiatives, highlighting their importance in India’s transition to clean energy.
These projects will generate employment for thousands of people, boost grid stability, and contribute significantly to India’s target of achieving 500 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2030. Avaada currently operates 2.2 GW of capacity in Rajasthan and nearly 5.7 GW nationwide, with this expansion further cementing its leadership in the sector.
