Waaree Energies has commenced operations at its new 950 MW solar module manufacturing facility located in Degam village, Chikli Taluka, Navsari district, Gujarat, starting 30 September, 2025.
This strategic expansion enhances Waaree’s market leadership, currently boasting 16.7 GW module and 5.4 GW cell capacities. The company aims to scale these capacities to 25.7 GW for modules and 15.4 GW for cells by FY27. Waaree is evolving into a fully integrated solar player through backward integration into 10 GW wafer-ingot production.
Additionally, it is diversifying its portfolio by venturing into battery energy storage systems (BESS), green hydrogen, and inverters. This move solidifies Waaree’s position as a key player in India’s renewable energy sector, contributing significantly to the country’s clean energy goals and expanding its footprint in advanced solar technologies.
