Bharat Electronics (BEL) has secured a contract worth Rs 610 crore for supplying the electro optic fire control system (EOFCS) to the Indian Navy. The system, which has been fully indigenously developed, will be integrated onboard various Indian Naval platforms.
The EOFCS is designed to provide panoramic and sector search capabilities, tracking all types of targets during both day and night. It is equipped to engage tracked targets using medium and short-range gun mounts. The system will enhance the operational efficiency of naval forces.
In addition to this contract, BEL has also received orders worth Rs 352 crore, which include anti-drone systems, fuzes, integrated fire detection and suppression systems, vessel communication systems, and other related spares and services. This follows a previous disclosure from 28 January, 2025.
BEL’s total order book for the current financial year now stands at Rs 11,855 crore. The company continues to strengthen its position in the defence sector with significant growth in its order pipeline.
