Bharat Heavy Electricals (BHEL) has secured three orders for setting up solar photovoltaic (SPV) power plants totaling 135 MW, on engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) basis, in Maharashtra and Gujarat.
The cumulative value of the projects is Rs 520 crore. The orders have been secured from the Maharashtra State Power Generation Company (MAHAGENCO), the Gujarat State Electricity Corporation (GSECL) and the Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers & Chemicals (GNFC).
The order bagged from MAHAGENCO envisages setting up a 50 MW SPV plant at Kaudgaon, Osmanabad district in Maharashtra. BHEL is also associated with Maharashtra's renewable energy ventures with its SPV modules being installed in the solarisation of agricultural feeders.
The GSECL order envisages setting up a 75 MW SPV plant at Dhuvaran in Anand district of Gujarat.
The company has also secured 10 MW SPV Plant order from GNFC. This has reinforced the company’s contribution of 205 MW of green energy in Gujarat, out of this 130 MW is in solar park at Charanka, Gujarat.
