BHEL has bagged a contract for the supply and installation of the Electrostatic Precipitator (ESP) package for the 2x660 MW Solapur super thermal power project (STPP).
The order for the ESP package has been placed on BHEL by NTPC for the supercritical Solapur STPP-II in Maharashtra, being set up under the Mega Power Project Policy of the Central Government. BHEL’s scope of work involves design, engineering, manufacture, supply and erection & commissioning of the complete Electrostatic Precipitator package. The ESP shall be manufactured at BHEL’s Ranipet plant in Tamil Nadu while the High Voltage Rectifier Transformers will be supplied by the company’s Jhansi plant in Uttar Pradesh. BHEL’s Power Sector – Western Region will be responsible for erection and commissioning of the ESP.
