Bharat Heavy Electricals (BHEL) has secured an order from Mahan Energen (formerly known as Essar Power MP) for equipment supply towards the commissioning for a power project at Bandhaura, Madhya Pradesh.
Valued at Rs approx. 4000 crore, the contract entails the supply of equipment, comprising boiler, turbine, generator and associated auxiliaries along with control and instrumentation. It also involves supervision of erection and commissioning for a 2x800 MW power project which is based on supercritical technology.
The boiler and turbine generator will be manufactured at BHEL’s plants at Trichy and Haridwar respectively. The contract stipulates a timeline of 31 months to execute the supply of Unit-I, and 35 months for Unit-II.
