Bharat Heavy Electricals (BHEL) has won three major orders worth Rs 11,000 crore from Adani Power and its subsidiary Mahan Energen (MEL).
The state-run public sector undertaking (PSU) has secured contracts to supply equipment including boilers, turbines, and generators, and to oversee the erection and commissioning of three supercritical thermal power plant projects at Kawai (Phase-II), Rajasthan & Kawai (Phase-III), Rajasthan of (APL) and at Mahan (Phase-III), Madhya Pradesh of MEL. Each project will have a capacity of 2x800 MW.
The contract significantly advances power infrastructure sector, highlighting BHEL’s crucial role in the sector. The timelines are set at 49 months for Kawai Phase-II, 52 months for Kawai Phase-III, and 55 months for Mahan Phase-III.
