Bharat Electronics (BEL) has secured new defence contracts worth Rs 572 crore including drone detection system, communication, artificial intelligence (AI) based technologies (AI).
These new contracts follows a major Rs 2,210 crore deal signed on 07 April 2025 with the Ministry of Defence for the supply of Electronic Warfare (EW) Suites for the Indian Air Force’s Mi-17 V5 helicopters.
The EW systems developed in collaboration with Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), Centre for Airborne Systems (CABS), and Combat Aircraft Systems Development and Integration Centre (CASDIC), the EW Suites are designed to enhance aircraft survivability in high-threat operational environments. The company’s continued success aligns with the government’s ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ initiative, promoting self-reliance in defence manufacturing. BEL’s growing portfolio of indigenous technologies positions it as a key contributor to national security.
