Transmission Corporation of Andhra Pradesh has invited bids for the construction of a 400/220kV AIS substation at Sanampudi.
The contract will also include the installation of a 400kV ACSS TMDC line from the 400/220kV substation at Podili to the newly proposed Sanampudi substation. The project will also involve the creation of associated bays at Podili. This scope includes all aspects of construction and installation, such as survey, planning, design, engineering, and documentation. The contractor will be responsible for supply, transportation, unloading, insurance, storage, and handling of materials.
Additionally, the work will cover the installation, termination, integration, testing, demonstration for acceptance, and commissioning of the infrastructure. A key part of the project is the installation of phasor measurement units (PMUs) at the substation or power plant, ensuring the complete functionality of the system.
The estimated cost of the contract is Rs 269.89 crore, and the bid submission deadline is 27 January, 2026.
