The Department of Tourism, Meghalaya, has invited bids for the construction of Sohra Experiential Centre at Saitsohpen, to be executed on an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) II basis.
The successful bidder will also be responsible for preparing detailed design and engineering plans, obtaining necessary approvals, and mobilizing the site for construction. This includes building temporary structures and carrying out all necessary groundwork. The project involves the construction of both the superstructure and internal/external finishes, mechanical equipment, and facilities, as specified, creating a testing and commissioning plan, and ensure smooth handing over of the project.
The expected timeline for completion is 24 months, with a cost of Rs 114.93 crore, and the final delivery will include all statutory licenses, permits, and a comprehensive project administration plan. Regarding post-construction defects liability and maintenance period, the contractor will be responsible for any defects arising after the completion of the work for a period of three years.
