The Central Mine Planning & Design Institute (CMPDI) has invited bids for a solar power project in Maharashtra. It involves setting up a grid-connected ground-mounted solar plant in Western Coalfields’ (WCL) Majri area of Chandrapur site in Maharashtra.
The scope of work involves the design, engineering, supply, construction, erection, installation, testing, and commissioning of the solar power plant. It will have a capacity of 23 MW (AC) and a minimum 40 percent of DC overload capacity, and will cover civil, structural, and electrical works and all other accessories and facilities required to make the project complete. The work is expected to commence within 30 days after receiving the letter of acceptance.
The contract It is to be executed at a cost of Rs 117.16 crore. Moreove, comprehensive operation and maintenance of plant is to be carried out for ten years.
